Owl Homes Welcomes First Female Assistant Site Manager

9th November 2021

Owl Homes welcomes their first female Assistant Site Manager, Samantha Casey, who is based at the housing developers Earls Place development in Desford.

Samantha has extensive experience within the housing industry, formally a Construction Project Manager for Severn Trent, overseeing development projects for a range of national housebuilders. More recently, Samantha was an Assistant Site Manager for Bellway Homes.

With several female employees already in a range of roles across the company, Owl Homes wants to remind women of all skill sets about the different positions available within the industry.

Tony Jarvis, Construction Director for Owl Homes, says“We are pleased to welcome Samantha to the business; she brings a wealth of experience from her time at Severn Trent and previous developers, and we look to support Samantha’s progression further within her new role. At Owl Homes, we embrace equality, diversity and inclusion, and we encourage more women to join the wider construction industry.”

Samantha Casey, Assistant site manager for Owl Homes, says: “I am really pleased to have joined Owl Homes; I love working in the construction industry, getting hands-on and learning something new every day. The job can be challenging at times, but there is nothing more rewarding than handing over a quality built house at the end.”

Owl Homes, who operate new build housing developments across the Midlands, invest in their team at all levels, embracing diversity and inclusion for both employees, consultants and suppliers.

With just 14% of females making up the construction industry workforce, appointments such as Samantha's continue to pave the way for change.
