We are thrilled to share that we opened the doors to our ROARsome safari theme showhome recently which was a huge success!
Comments from Sam Jones,
client account manager, Edward Thomas Interiors:
“Our design for the
three-bed showhome at Mortimer Manor is aimed at a young, energetic family. To
bring their story to life, inspiration was drawn from the adventures they might
enjoy together. The nearby West Midlands Safari Park was a strong influence,
and house hunters can expect to find playful references to the safari and
jungle creatures throughout.
“Natural woods and
textures complement the home’s pine green and rust colour palette while
wallcoverings include a mix of wallpapers, panelling, painting and murals as
eye-catching features.
“In the kitchen/diner,
hunter green cabinetry sits alongside a rust accent wall while a beautiful
wooden dining table and metallic gold drinks trolley are bathed in natural
light from the bay window.
“Upstairs, the primary
bedroom offers an elegant retreat for parents including wallpapered panels with
a subtle monkey print, while the two children’s bedrooms are not to be missed.
We designed one for a toddler with a classic safari theme including a house-shaped
bed covered with vines and a hanging monkey. The other is inspired by the
classic Disney movie, The Lion King and features African print fabrics as well
as a spectacular hand-painted mural of Simba, Timon and Pumbaa singing Hakuna
Matata!
“Part of our brief for
this showhome was to include the sales office within the living room. To
maintain the theme and colour palette in here, we’ve incorporated a tropical
print wallpaper in shades of green and added a bespoke, full height
media/storage unit which could be re-used by the eventual purchaser.”
Mortimer Manor is open from Thursday - Monday 10am - 5pm
