A boating centre that’s been around since 1984, Barrow Boating is a classic place to visit when you’re near Burton on the Wolds. Rent row boats, pedaloes, paddle boards, kayaks and plenty more as you spend a day out on the peaceful River Soar in the north Leicestershire village of Barrow upon Soar. One of the most memorable days out near Burton on the Wolds is a trip to the UK’s last working bellfoundry. Dating back to 1859, over 25,000 bells still heard around the world today trace their origins to this humble institution in Loughborough.
